Funky break lights!
« on: 31 July 2013, 16:22 »
My break lights are playing up again! It's been about 2 months since I had the brake light switch replaced then the bulbs went replaced them aswell and now they are doing a dance! One night only the passenger break light works and the other 2 are dead then it will switch nothing coming from the passenger side but the centre and driver side works. Very confusing!! I've tried new bulbs and checked the connections to the back of the lights and still the same!  :undecided:

have you checked the back of the bulb plates to see if any water damage is present?

Checked and are all fine no water moisture or corrosion on the plug or connector I have cleaned then with contact cleaner to be on the safe side.

may be an easier solution to this.

but if it was me id go out with a multimetre when the break lights are playing up and chase the feed back, start off with the light and work back to see where your stopping getting current, then you will know which component has failed.
