Hi I've owned a mk2 golf gti mk2 16v for about 2 months now. Had a number of ignition problems to start with so if recently changed the dizzy, plugs, leads, battery and most recently the alternator. The car starts fine now but whilst driving along it often seems to cut out, the revs drop dramatically and within a split second the car starts again. Has anyone came across this problem before?

I've recently ordered a new fuel pump relay as google searching this problem has sent me in that direction, after checking the fuel pump underneath the car it looks new. I've also had to insert a washer into the pump as the person before me failed to fit one.

Another question I have is will getting the tracking sorted on my car also adjust the camber to my wheels? The front wheels point at a really awkward angle making my car look very weird.

IMO - I would find a K-jet or MK2 specialist and get the car checked out & tuned properly..

The K-jet system can be complicated to solve issues with - it could be one of the many sensors, a vacuum leak on the metering head, Warm up valve etc etc etc...

Once sorted they tend to be quite reliable but do need much more tweeking over the 8V Digi which just keeps going and going with out any issues... IME
