Newbie saying hello
« on: 29 July 2013, 15:58 »
Alright guys,

posted on here a few days ago looking for some advice and thought it would be a good idea to introduce my self too. Names Curt and I bought, last friday, a MK4 Golf GT TDi.

got 150k on clock which is a little high but it's a diesel I suppose and for £800 I don't expect something outstanding. So with that in mind I knew it would need a bit of work doing to it. First up was 2 new tyres and a track rod end. When doing this I also noticed it needed a new wishbone which will get done as soon as i can.

Next up is the exhaust as that is buggered, holes in it and then the gearbox which I have asked help on within the forum somewhere.

Happy with car overall though got FSH minus 07-09 but has had cam belt changed which is good to know.

Now just need to get it tidied up and get some mods done to it.

Hi there did you ever manage to find a full exhaust? My exhaust also has holes in it and is very corroded and I'm looking to replace the full system.

What sort of price did you have to pay?
