Power loss camshaft sensor fault
« on: 25 July 2013, 19:12 »
Timing belt got done and after there was a dramatic power loss. Was reading camshaft position sensor - implausible. Got it in the garage and the timing was out   Anyway they sorted timing out and changed cam sensor. Was back to normal for one day then back to losing power again. Any ideas. Car is a 1.6

Lambda has been changed. Forgot to mention. Camshaft position sensor - implausible signal intermittent is still reading on vagcom. Don't understand how though if it has be changed and code cleared after

I haven't but I think vagcom would read camshaft position sensor no signal rather than implausible if connection was broke

It sound's like the timing off or the cam adjuster seals

Take it to another garage, and ask them to check the timing
