Alloys and coilovers

Need some help.hopefully buying some coilovers on the weekend.I have r32 rep alloy wheels (Ninos old alloys) and don't want to fit the coilovers and have any rubbing issues.Numbers from the wheels are,7j et 38 and 18 inch.Now I wouldn't mind bringing the rear alloys flush to the arch.Do you think I would have any issues with the front rubbing on the coilovers and what do people think spacer wise I would need on the rear.Thanks mark

Forgot to say.I will be lowering around the 40 to 45mm front and rear.

You will have no issues with that drop, any lower may lead to ARB rubbing.

I would say 10mm spacers on the back would do the trick.

Yes should be fine and will help the looks a lot.

You'll probably need a 5mm spacer on the front to prevent the tyre fouling the adjusters on the coilovers.

You'll need more than 10mm to bring the wheels flush, I'm running 8J wheels, ET35 with 20mm spacers rear and 15mm front. This brings them pretty much flush on mine:



If you're only going 40mm why not use a spring/shock setup instead of coilovers?

Im thinking coilovers just in case I wont to go any lower after changing my front arb of course but that's future plans.So you think I should go more than 10mm?
