GTI plastic sill thingies

Has anyone done anything to/with the nasty plastic sill thingies? I think they are the worst exterior 'feature' of a GTi, especially on a red version like mine where they stand out like a sore thumb. Without going all 'bodykit' I'd would like to see a better alternative.. I was almost in two minds just to get rid and possibly paint the sills black, but I'm not brave enough.. :laugh:

You could always replace them with Bluemotion (sorry, ED35 /.:R) cill extensions.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Do you mean the grey plastic side skirts (below the doors)?  If so,  some members on here (wigit, I think) have previously sprayed them gloss black, along with the rear diffuser.

EDIT - obviously not wigit as he has an ed35  :embarrassed:  :laugh:

I colour coded mine candy white (and had the rear diffuser sprayed gloss black).

Best thing I have done to the car so far........
