Vent mounted phone cradle..
« on: 23 July 2013, 17:41 »
Wasn't sure where to put this, but it's mk2 specific so thought I'd ask in here..

Wanting an in car cradle for my phone, but I'm not keen on mounting things on the windscreen as it reduces visibility. I was looking at the ones that mount to the vents, but couldn't work out whether they would work on a mk2 vent and don't want to buy one for it not to fit.

Anyone got one or tried it?

Thanks

Surely you need a phone with a handset on a curly wire in a Mk2?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

My friend has a sticky pad in his defender. It is literally a piece of rubber but it has enough friction to stick to the dash and stick a phone when driving. I'm gunna get one for my car, is this an option for you?

Haha, true, but I don't think it'll be very useful as a satnav

Thanks for the idea. Having had another look at them I think I'll get a windscreen mounted one, should be able to place it where it doesn't obstruct the view too much.
