As per title, I'm after feedback from people who are running/have run Weitec TX's. I'm looking at binning the JOMs for something more refined and I keep coming back to these.

There are numerous reviews online but I'm struggling to find any from MK4 owners, particularly what the ride is like when running low.

I ran them for about two years with no adjusters in the rear and never had any bother. Held up really well to our winters with very little corrosion and the threads never seized up once.  The ride was really good as well and the car handled spot on.  Would buy a set again in a flash. Only down side I could find was I ran them screwed the hole way down for a few weeks and going up my lane when I hit a bump the car was solid very little give. Stuck them up a few threads and all was fine.

Brilliant, that's just the feedback I was after :afro:

Do you have any pictures of how low you ran it?

I ran them on my golf for 4 years or 110k and had no problems at all. found them pretty comfy (for coilovers) I never adjusted them after I had it set up but they looked in good condition.

Also Weitec is owned and made in the same factory as KW so they got to be good!
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

SI74 - Is that how you ran it after you'd raised it a few threads?

Steve - Good to hear, I think they're essentially KW V2 Basics just branded as Weitec

Yes mate, If I remember right i think there was about 10 threads left. Top of the tyre was in the arch when screwed the hole way down.  Forgot to say that there was a wee bit of rubbing with the Areo sports with the adjusters out when you hit a bump at speed.

I had the GTNs on mine, never had a problem. The TX kits are now essentially the V2 kit, KW have dropped the basic line and only do them in inox now.

Dunno if i'd bother paying the extra for the TX though.. personal preference! You had a price yet Dom? I haz daily dealings with KW :afro:

To be honest I started by looking at the GT's which a mate is running on his Fabia, I was pretty impressed with them but they retail at £599 now. Another mate is running V2s on his TT and there is a noticeable difference in comfort

Best price I've had on the TX's is £750 delivered from DPM, PM me if you think you can better it :afro:
