Hi, I wonder if anyone can help... My Mk3 Golf has failed its MOT because the driver's seat won't move forwards or backwards. I've taken the seat out and it's a fairly crude system, a pull handle attached to a cable that moves a pin out and lets the seat move on the runners. In my case, the cable is all loose, the cable itself looks like it's seen better days and there's a broken plastic clip that tensions it by the pull handle. As a result, pulling the handle doesn't move the pin enough to let it move.

Trouble is, I'm having trouble knowing what to search for to find the spare parts. Any help or ideas? Any recommendations for where to go?

Thanks!

Go to a scrappy to get the part you need,i don't know what cable your going on about though as the mk3 uses a bar to pull the pin. get a pic of it up if you can

I'm such a retard - it's a Mk4 Golf, not a Mk3  :embarrassed:

Sorry - mods can you please delete this, I'll post again in the right forum.
