Built in DVD screens in headrests
« on: 19 July 2013, 21:29 »
Thinking about getting some of these to keep the kids happy

Got a drive down to st tropez end of October and they would be dead handy to maintain sanity

Daft question, ignore me

Just get another iPad.

Problem solved

Doh

Anyone know of a company that will build them in to the headrest?

Is it even possible?

It's definitely possible but it's not cheap

Yeah exactly. Not going to spend a grand when I can buy an iPad for much less

And take it with me when I sell the car!

You can get ones that just hook on for a lot less than an ipad on eBay.  But why not do it the old fashioned way and play I spy and such?

Sorry, missed the last bit!

Good point though, what would the side visibility be like in a 3 door?

Just buy a pair of portable ones for around £100 that strap to the headrests. You can take them with you to use where you are staying, use them in any car and you'll still have them when you sell the car.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Get a couple of headrest mounts for iPads or generic chinese android tablets. Load them with movies and games before you leave and fanny's your aunt.

Just make sure you remember headphones, otherwise they'll be fighting each other over who's movie is loudest and on that length of journey, it would drive me nuts
