Will these fit a 8v? 1998 model? R REG?

i tried with the ebay vechicle match but it says it wont fit, it only fits 16v?, but seller says it will fit 8v as they are same?
HERES THE ITEM: MY CURRENT COILOVERS ARE VERY BAD AND SQUEAKY SO ID PREFER BUDGET SPRING FOR NOW AS IM LIMITED WITHMONEY, IM NOT SURE HOW GOOD THESE ARE.

hey man if your golf is a mk3 and the add says up to 98 then its safe to assume that they will fit. as if your car is after 98 then it gona be a mk4.

what do you mean? a year or so? do you have a complete lack of faith in after market car parts like I do lol. all I can say is its a mine field out there. you can get stuff dirt cheap that will last forever and then you can pay a fortune for crap. quality control is a thing of the past grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Yes they will fit as long as you have standard suspension to put them on. May as well get knew top mounts and shocks.

Whats squeaking on yours? Tried greasing them up? Spraying top mounts with wd40? If it goes away then grease up the top mounts

Shouldn't you not spray oil onto rubber parts?
