Is this a common issue
« on: 13 July 2013, 09:53 »
I have noticed when I put standard 95 ron fuel in the car, you can almost guarantee the CEL will come on. When I plug my reader in it is always the same error, no signal or wrong signal at the 02 sensor.

When I put V Power or equivalent in, it never happens and runs just fine.

Is this common ?
Can it be mapped out ?

And while I am at it, what other mapping options do I have with this car ?

I assume this is not a common problem ?

Same question though, is it possible to map it out ?

On a v5 you will be unlucky to see more than 10bhp with a map the only thing that will really improve is throttle response... As for your issue not sure possible the 02 sensor is just faulty... on a cheeky note just use vpower

Thanks Damien.

The trouble is, I'm trying to get away from the mental V Power prices, thats why I finally got rid of my import TT Subaru.

As for the map, I'm not bothered about power gains, it will never be as good as the Scooby
But better throttle response sounds good.

Thank god I bought a VAG reader, saving me a fortune on garage prices already and I can clear the code and get rid of the annoying light on the dash
