After this:

and this:

It now refuses to start, just before I want to go and visit my gf in hospital!!!

All it does a make one clicking noise when you turn the key and then nothing.

Any ideas? I only have a 1 hour slot to go see my gf before the nurses get arsey about visiting times.

I think the battery is fine as the clock doesnt fade when you turn the key. Anyway to check if its the starter motor?

Sounds like the starter.  Sometimes when they are on the way out the "brushes" get stuck out of place, and then the knock from the hammer sorts it for a little while.  Has the engine been turning over slowly before firing of late?

Well turned out it did start with a jump start, which I was highly greatful for. Very odd tho as the battery didnt seem to be completely flat, as I said the clock didnt fade when I turned the key and the radio still worked fine and hadnt switched on to demo mode as it usually does after a flat. Also have no idea what would have drained the battery.

I really am getting tired of my car forever being broken, if I had any money I'm getting to the point where I'd just pay someone to sort everything out, which isnt like me as I love to do the work myself. Its just one thing after another with only a few days break before something else breaks.
