checking engine mount
« on: 11 July 2013, 13:23 »
f**king speed humps !

The other day I hit one quite hard and heard an almighty wallop. And 3 days later I crunched the underneath going down a curb too high.
Cardiff council are sh!t and need to highlight there f**ked  up roads more clearly.

Anyway....

I am not concerned as to what damage could be caused and the one I'm concerned about is the engine mount.
My sump is fine and no leaks , thank god.
But I've looked on the net and can't seem to find out how to go about checking my engine mount for damage.

Could anybody point me in the right direction to checking it and also what are the main things to look for that might be damaged ?

When your engines cold try giving it a shake if moves a lot then mounts fooked.. or just do visual check on em youll see if any cracks etc on it.. if your mount was gone you would have known by th crazy engine judder and odd thuds here and there while driving along
