I've been advised not to remove the lambda as it is difficult to get out abd the threads usually get damaged and you can't replace it. Besides the point, what do you clean the deposits off of it?

Who ya gonna believe? Some bloke in a pub or somebody, such as myself, who has had the problems and sorted them! And yes I have taken out a Lambda, cleaned it and put it back!

If you worried about the threads, then just take it out as if you were treating a sparkplug. Loosen it a half inch turn, tighthen, the loosen again and repeat until it comes out.

I think your over worrying

yeah buy a caravan:). nah I need a people carrier. I don't think I'd get more than £300-400 for the mk3 as one automatic similar specs went for £350 in my area. They are cheap now. Rather park it up for 2-3 years in a barn and see what happens, really should've stuck it in the barn in the first place:). Only got one parking spot :)
