Another new GTI owner :)
« on: 08 July 2013, 21:17 »
Hi all.. Looking to pick up a 2005 Mk5 GTI tomorrow. Not put any money down yet so just wondering on some direction on what to look for? Ive tried looking on here for a kind of mk5 buying guide but cant seem to find anything.

its over 100,000 miles but has FSH . I just had the Turbo go on my Starlet Glanza so thats had to go, im a bit too old for it now anyway, but what kind of life do these turbos have ? Are they expensive to buy and to have fitted ?

Any money i get from my old car i would like to put into the golf or even save away incase i do have turbo issues.

Appreciate any help you can throw my way and hope to become a regular poster if the car is up to scratch after inspection.

Cheers

Dale

Use the search function as there are loads of threads on here asking about mk5 pointers.
