To those of you waiting.

This is easy for me to say, I know.
This car is well worth the wait, you will regret cancelling every time you see one.

Production will ramp up a bit after the factory shutdown and more cars will arrive in the UK, many of you are being messed around by VW UK, but they are not in control of production, I feel for you, I really do.

Wolfsburg produce several thousand Golfs a day and VW give a tiny amount of production capacity to the GTI, it will feel so much more special when you do eventually get it though.

Again, easy for me to say, I was lucky.

If cancelling would hurt VW enough for them to realise f**king their customers around is wrong and will bite them in the arse then I would do it in a heartbeat - unfortunately it won't because of demand.

It should be at the dealer in the next few days, so I'm hoping for collection first week in September. If it slips to a bit later I'm not too fussed, got a busy couple of weeks at work with lots of travel.

Edit: Aww crap, it's at the dealers now, just checked the tracker! lol  I guess it means a collection on 2nd September is pretty certain then, woohoo!  Gonna' hurt waiting though
