Is the Mk7 GTI REALLY better looking than the Mk6 GTI?

Funny you should say that.  Was following a 13 plate Leon into work this morning and the rear looked kind of familiar... hmm, if only I could place it.

Leon actually looks pretty sharp, but I wouldn't swap.

Must admit, I much prefer the new Leon to the old one, especially the rear.  Overall though, there is something about the Golfs boxier look and cleaner lines and creases that appeal more to me.

I too followed a new Leon on the motorway the other day. Very impressed. Looked great, and sporty too. The crease lines looked especially cool.

But, will it date much more quickly than the understated Golf? Only time will tell.

I like the Leon. It's no Golf granted, but still a lovely car.  And you can get a Leon FR with every single option for £25k

I always find that I like the new Leon when it comes out, for about a year. One of the big improvements for me with the MK7 over the MK6 is the rear. The light clusters look great (and not looking like they belong on the Toureg because they're so big) and that crease makes the Golf seem really solid. I always seem to tire of the Leon very quickly.

Not a fan of Seat Interiors either, they're both dull in look and cheap in feel. They have the Audi look about the layout rather than the VW look, yet manage to look and feel like a very cheap imitation. The current Seat steering wheel is hideously cheap looking.

I liked the new 3 door Leon from pictures online, but I saw a white FR the other day in the flesh and it looked very mediocre, boring almost.
