Fitting Cruise Control In A MK4 Golf

Hi, new to the site and was looking for a bit of advice.

I have recently bought my self a 2001 mk4 Golf 1.8T AUM with a measly 36,000 on the clock.
If it wasnt too expensive i was looking into fitting cruise control because i do a lot of motorway and it would help the MPG out a bit. As far as i know it is just replacing the indicator stalk, adding a loom and plugging a VAG in.

Does anyone know anywhere that can do the VAG part if i were to install the rest or maybe do it all for me for an all in price?

You need two looms, the stalk and someone with vagcom to activeate the cruse control this pdf explains all.

Just spoken to VW and they have said the kit is around £80. Does that sound like a good price, thats with the loom inc

yes, they are going for a little more than that on ebay!

Awesome! Now just someone with a VAGCOM and practicality . VW wanted 321 in total including labour but i didnt want to pay that much haha! 117 an hour -_-.

Anyone on here near Berkshire up for the challenge and a bit of cash?
