I liked the auto hold on the MK7 hire car I had (manual) but the only thing which un-nerved me was when parking it would kick in and you would have to give it a bit of beans to get it to auto disengage - always thought I'd have a shunt so turned it off when parking

To be honest the whole thing is pure comedic genius!  Standard "I'm a blond who needs everything spelt out in detail five times over in a conversation clearly scripted and rehearsed at length, while we all grin like our lives depend on it."

Its actually a series.  I think I'm gonna watch the rest if I get bored at work!

I can't imagine who thought extreme patronisation was a good way to sell a car to people?  Or perhaps this is just how things are done in the US...

It had the makings a porn film

Back to the keyless entry, does it still have a fob that will allow you to click and open the doors like normal?
There is nothing better going back to your car in the dark and using the fob to see the lights light up

Yeah know the feeling Jimble
That's why I had to enable the chirp on my Golf and why I now have to do it twice on my A1 as I haven't enabled the chirp yet  :undecided:

Does it "chirp" or is it a crap "honk" like in that -ahem- porn film?  Because I don't want it sounding the horn like that to indicate it has locked, that's just gonna make everyone look over as if I'm an idiot bumping the steering wheel.

It is literally just a small chirp. But it seems to be a marmite thing.
It was just reassurance for me and definitely something I want to put back on my car.

I put a chirp on my Scirocco with VCDS for closing - difinite chirp and not a honk.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....
