VW seem to do sh!t wipers both of my Sciroccos have had issues with an unclean wipe. I just accept it now. Joe when you mentioned the wiper hitting the A pillar my MK5 Golf used to do that in high winds. It's an easy fix at the dealers..

Not sure I'll be too happy if the wipers are crap. Surely on a car as such as this they can get that right?

Have you mentioned the wipers to your dealer Joe? If so, what did they say?

Nope. I did all that with the mk6 and they hadn't a clue how to resolve it. Only the windscreen replacement, for an unrelated issue, fixed it.

Your car looks

Glad you're enjoying it and got the lights sorted now.

The wiper problem sounds like a design fault reading that link above

A lot of people on the Gtechniq forum have used this to cure juddering wipers (with good effect) :

Sorry to hear about your issues, someone needs to start a what problems have you had with your mk7.  So far
Rear Leds not working right,
 wipers squeaking,
poor mpg on 150TDI,
next it will be rattles.

Well they saved 20% in the cost of making it so things have to shaved somewhere. I have to admit I thought the heater knobs were really cheap and loose.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those products.
Must say I've no complaints otherwise so far. The interior quality and finish is superb IMO.

But... A strange thing I've noticed... The doors don't seem to have a stopping point midway in the opening like most cars do... You know the way you open the door half way and it holds itself half open? The mk7 doors don't seem to have this. Could be dangerous for car park prangs!

I think I read this somewhere else its supposed to be a friction thing rather than the bumps that we have on all other cars.

I think it was on the honest john review of the car? It's so the door can be held in any position rather than pre determined ones.
