Shaking when slowing down
« on: 01 July 2013, 11:06 »
I purposely didn't put braking in the title so people wouldn't jump and say front discs, because it's not.

It also happens when using the engine to slow down, say from 5th to 3rd for example slows the car fairly quickly and the car still shakes. Not badly, but noticeable.

The worst of it happens braking from 60. From 80+ it's not as bad until you get to 60, from less than 30 it's not so bad either.

Brakes discs and pads front and rear were done about 6 months ago. Track rods done about the same.

Any ideas of what to look for when I get it up on ramps?

I would get it on a ramp and check driveshafts/engine mounts/balljoints. basically anything you can get at. the problem might be quite obvious once your under there. oh and check your gear oil while your at it. but don't dismiss the brakes just because they are new.

Could still be the brakes if the disc were not seated properly when you changed them.

Did it do this before you had the discs and pads done ? If not then its going to be the culprit
