GSF OE parts?
« on: 30 June 2013, 22:46 »
Looking to buy original struts for my Mk2, do any of you know which brands GSF supply?

I have OE shocks from VW Heritage in my basket, just seeing if I can save a bit of cash anywhere. VW heritage comes to about £110, not bad, but like I say, any saving is good.

Cheers
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.

Yeah, the eibach springs are the same price everywhere though, so I have them sorted... Just need struts/shocks now, shopping around.

What is the benefit of gas over oil?

And ha, the GSF website is shocking, it tells you nothing about the product you are about to buy, pretty useless really...

Eurocarparts only sell front shocks oddly...

gas shocks are more stable. the oil ones can weaken out when pushed hard in hot weather because the oil gets hot and thins out. not a big deal on a road car though so take your pick fella.
