2L 8v bottom End Conversion - Update
« on: 11 August 2005, 23:18 »
Well....

Ok been and got the engine, drove like 350 miles, she seems like a good one. Started stripping it down, heads off. Was wondering whether to rebuild the bottom end but really not sure now, got some pricing on bits which i was really disappointed in the cost of the bearings, rings etc. think its gonna cost about £250-300 for the rebuild, thats not including any labour to rebuild the bits which i might struggle doing.

I defo want to replace the clutch so thats gonna be about 70 quid. but i should be cool fitting it. I'll probably replace the rings as the engines dones nearly 100k.

Just gotta set a date when i'm prepared to take her off the road for a few days....

Wish me Luck!
