There is good and bad views over everything, everyone has their own opinion.

Have you had experience with pagid discs?

Yes I've had experience with Pagid discs from ECP and also experience of them before ECP bought the exclusive rights to the Pagid brand and the difference in quality and longevity is easily noticeable...

Many others over on the mk5golfgti forum have had the same issues, poor resistance to fade, increased disc wear rates etc
My 'Pagids' came with foundry casting marks from a foundry in China, the many sets of OE discs I have purchased all came marked with German foundry markings and 'made in Germany' stamped on them, well worth the extra £20 a pair over the ECP tat for the increased performance alone imo

The fact that the OE ones are stamped 'made in Germany' and if you decode the foundry casting marks stamped into the hub area it tells you which foundry cast them, that was in Germany too

With discs, the amount of carbon in the mix is key to performance, the cheap Chinese stuff just doesn't cut it quality wise and myself and many others have had issues with the ECP Pagids and seeing as OE discs if sourced via TPS are only £20 a pair more expensive than the ECP ones it's worth every penny imo

Im an EBC dealer if anyone is after EBC brakes. I will try do a discount if possible too.

The best combination in them is Ultimax Discs and Yellow Pads. Which i run myself too.
