I would advise not to rush. I get bored when there isn't something to do. Spending so much time working on it a mk2 is half the fun. It's also nice when others notice the rolling project progression.

Half the stuff you need to sort won't cost money!


You have to prioritise what needs sorting and what doesn't. 


Front Grille not important for MOT, Nor are the VDO's, Small bumpers Etc... Stick to the important stuff 1st, rest can wait.

This. An MOT is a safety check, it just checks vital systems and lights; Focus on these for September. An MOT is only valid the day it's done, after that you have a full year to do whatever you want.

that's very true I just checked whats will be checked on my mot

got my lock and wheel nut off today though! so that's a positive

wheel bearings, 4 discs and pads and wheels to sort out, may just get my self a set of banded steels with tyres instead of buying tyres for the wheels I have already got that are 17's and flaking and scuffed..

ive done that but im still unsure! is there not a test I can do? like a powder or paper or water ?
