hey man. it may be a big list but its lots of small jobs. don't go giving up on it. you should get it sorted for mot and on road then finish it off at your leisure. like a rolling restoration lol. oh btw the headlights don't have relays. but they do work a bit better with them and it takes a bit of load of the light switch.
oh well that's helpful haha! I don't know where to put my wiring though its still just sitting on my battery...
decision of the day is to take off the gti bumpers and arches and have small bumpers on there..
considering mines a 1.3 haha some may call it a fake gti or a rep

I don't understand your wiring. Off my battery positive I have the main lead then only 3 or so wires. One for sub, the alternator exciter wire and something else small. What have you got coming off your battery?

I wonder if they are for an upgraded headlight loom. 2 relays = 1 for each light or like the one I fitted which had 2 one of the headlights & one for the inner spot lights. I fitted mine to the inner wing next to the battery with trim/number plate tape.

it could be a relay for main beam and one for dip. or both for main. I would just do away with them and put some of them fancy blue bulbs. got them in mine and they give a much whiter light with the same power. think they were made by ring.

i think they are draining my battery too also..... being connected directly from the battery, literally you could plug the headlight bulbs into either of the 2 and it wont make a difference, baring in mind that the fogs are connected to them also and no power gets to the fogs.

pay day Friday, new wheels, maybe bumpers(small bumper conversion), headlight wiring loom(uprated) vdo guage loom (possibly) rear lights will be here. then some small bits and bobs for interior to tidy it up, depending how much i have left after that, may invest in a new grille or 4 discs and pads.

big things coming soon. slow progress as lack of money.
