you could just get a second hand 1 of a mk2/mk3 gti. or maybe the water temp sensor of the earlier gti would work(before 1987/88) I think. the engines with the alloy coolant flanges. the water temp and oil temp senders look very similar.

the sensors for oil and water look identical don't they? there is 1 there for 5 quid delivered. worth a punt i would say.

that sensor on ebay says 10mm thread but it says it fits most vws which are 1/8 npt. so not to sure what the deal is there. the oil light sensor and pressure gauge are 1/8 npt though so they will fit to the t piece/+piece adapter. mind you the adapter comes with a load of different....ummmm. adapters lol.

yeah that will be fine. after all 50c oil temp and 50c water temp is exactly the same thing. and the thread should be fine since its for a vw.

oh if you mean the mfa its the thing on the dash clock that gives you oil temp/mpg/outside air temp etc. only on gtis though.
