I really appreciate my car tonight
« on: 25 June 2013, 19:44 »
The GTD went in to the dealers today for its second service (with strict instructions not to let their sponge monkey anywhere near my car!) and had the pleasure of a 1.4 DSG Polo as a courtesy car for the day.

How pleased I was to get my car back this evening. Makes you fully appreciate your own car and realise that sometimes it's easy to take it for granted. Really enjoyed the drive home.

+2 to that, though I would have happily settled for a 1.4 DSG Polo!!    I had a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 for a week in May and was sooo happy to get my gti back.

I had 1.2 polo for 3 days and the fuel needle never moved, 3 days in the gti and the tanks nearly gone! Still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!

After a van drove into the side of my car on May bank holiday Monday, I had to have a crappy Astra Diesel automatic for three weeks...getting back into the GTi on Tuesday was like heaven!!

I drove our 'other' car earlier this week. A 2008 Toyota Yaris 1.3 with that silly half auto half manual gearbox.

I've now renamed it 'the red headed stepchild' and its going to be spending a lot of time in the naughty corner!

I had a 13 plate passat cc with every option for 2 days while I had my inlet manifold changed at benfield vw, Newcastle. It made me feel bad that I didn't actually buy my car from there :)
