There's no have to at this stage. My plan is to have the car ordered by the end of the week, just waiting to get the price that I want :)

i pondered the colour for a while, looking at French manufacturers they are are more risky with greens and copper golds. I thought of white, dirty lanes killed that quickly, then black noting the banner i already have a black polo and that's terrible to keep clean, then red i used to have a red gti over 20 years ago not much more reason than that!, silver doesn't excite me and not sure would look that good in the Gti, quite liked the limestone just to be different then one of my guys at work ordered one in that, then i looked at carbon grey, bit too grey i don't like grey find it a bit miserable!, which left blue which i always like in cars, and as above the mrs likes so what can i do!

My thought process has been similar. Love the white, but that seems to be the most popular, carbon grey is also a great colour. Never been a fan of red cars. Silver cars remind me of rep mobiles... I love the car in black but know how hard it is to keep clean. It's a shame they don't do the blue clear coat colour in the GTi!

I'm sure it'll look damn good no matter what colour in the end

I also prefer the GTD wheels to the GTi ones...

the std GTD or the 19 optional ones? (i like those despite look hard to clean)

you're right it will look great no matter, and inside where you spend the time it even matters less!

ive only got 4 sleeps and its killing me!

I'm going to have four months!! I'm still a little tempted by the R. It's only £2000 more that a GTi with PP... That's a justifiable reason, right?

why not, my colleague us thinking of doing just that, for me its about just being sensible with the inevitable compromises, and we all find them at different places.

i ordered mine the end of June, it didn't come until early December but had to wait until now for work reasons.

just had to put it out of my mind, not really thought about it until xmas but now its killlllllllllllling me, even booked Friday off to have a good play :)

I think the GTi will win over the R because that £2000 may just be stretching me a little far, plus I think the resale value of the GTi will be more predictable, which is something I need to consider as I'm buying on PCP. Also, the missus really likes the Jacara and I have to have some way to justify the car to her...

But damn, the R looks good.
