need help with doors!

right, I may sound silly for asking this

there is a mk2 golf on ebay that I am watching and ive been to view it, but theres one thing that's annoying me.. the wing mirrors, its a 3door. the wing mirrors are actually screwed onto a pillar..

is it possible to replace the door with window and remove the pillar to get it to look like this

Easy to do but you try and find any nice condition 3 door doors..


Might be better looking for a proper 90 spec car in the 1st place.

Other issue you will have is that car looks like it's had all the holes for the side trim welded and filled in...
