Take son out for some exercise, swimming or cycling or a bit of footie.

Ex says she has dealt with it so let it go.

If he appears again, well let out the old you!

you've got it wrong. his son isn't fat. his son called ex's friend fat and ex's friend shouted at him

I thought the ex's friend said his son was fat too...
in that case my reply is still valid, however you need to have a sit down with your son and tell him that somethings you cant say... such as calling people fat or other not so nice things.

If your son was being cheeky to me and getting on my nerves, I'd might say something nasty back too. Depends on what exactly your son said. If he was being cheeky and just said "you're fat", that's a world of difference from "ha ha ha you're a fat b*st*rd".

Your son needs to be educated that saying things like that probably made the guy feel the same way the kid felt. I know I was a cheeky fecking sod as a kid and back in the day, would have been clipped around the ear from whoever I offended, and then my parents after. Being shouted at and being reduced to tears is nothing in comparison.

Your ex might be making the whole thing up to cause trouble.  It's not unknown.

+1, you sound a bit older than me, but still when I was a kid I said something I shouldn't have I got a feking good hiding off my parents, and a few of my mates got one off who ever then said something too. soon taught us.

Well I would advise your son to be a little more discreet as if he says something to some fat kid at school he may get sh!t kicked out of him!

i'd speak to him but see the simmering hatered in my eyes and give him a very real warning that he'd never forget. or worst yet get one of your mates who looks big and tough and tell him to go around the blokes place and warn the bloke that not even he (your big mate) would want to do that to the kid

and then teach  your son the art of subtly, its always fun watching a big fat guy taking a second to workout what you mean and by the time they have the subject has moved on

Edited it.

Id have a word with your son about being rude to others and have a word with the guy and appologise on your sons behalf. And if the guy is being a little b*tch then let him be.
