I think there's a point missed here... does the standard R actually make anymore power at 3000 rpm than the ED35? If not, then it won't be any quicker than an ED35 at motorway speeds. If you want to drop a 2 litre 170hp Audi you'll need to drop gears in both cars to get the engine right on song.

My brother has a mapped Leon FR 170, running 210hp and the ED will still drop it, but you can't roll on in top gear in a petrol car and expect it to lose a similar capacity diesel with the torque. Diesel's are all about mid-range pull, hence why they are so good on the motorway.

Blah blah blah

No point having stock vs standard, My R mapped up to well over 300bhp on a revo stage 1...

I wouldn't swap my stage 2 GTI back (even if police found it) for my Golf R even if my R was standard... Now my R has a stage 2+ flash and lookout

Ahem......My R......over 400lbft from 2.5krpm to 5k rpm....think that covers the diesels rpm range

Hi

3dr, Candy White, Manual, TPMS, Lux Pack. 18000 miles full service history which includes transferable service pack. 61 plate registered in November.

For the right price all the minor mods can go with the car which are:-

Gti tax disc holder
Gti seat inserts
35 foot rest cover
Rear gloss diffuser
Red ambient lighting (footwell)
Forge Alloy Caps
Candy White Engine Covers
H&R 10mm Trak+ spacers
R wheel arch extensions

I might let it go with RCD510 but I'm not sure yet if I'll be putting that in the wife's cab, so if I do it'll have the factory 310 re-fitted.

The tyres are all good and the car is mint, a few of the guys on here will vouch for that. I haven't really tried selling the car anywhere else as I don't really want to until after Gti international (6th July).

Price wise I'll be looking for £21000

Usually I wouldnt comment but you've posted it here:
But 21k is imo to expensive

20k miles / manual / Service pack includes like 4 services before its done, I assume you've had 2

And not to mention you could buy a new mk7 for 25k

But as with anything I guess something's only worth what sum1 is willing to pay so glwts

I dusted a ford focus ST in my GTD DSG with the launch control on off the lights. We set off at the exact same time, but once I was in 2nd gear it just launched forward and I was very surprised. So it is just as much about the driver as well as the car, but dsg's do all the hard work for you!

£25 grand plus a bit more plus a long wait for a 7 is great but the time you get the extras it'll soon be over thirty so all of a sudden your talking another 10 large.
