I really wanted a new 320i M Sport, i had arranged a test drive but the only car available was a 320d M Sport. My test drive was 1/2 an hour and at the end i could not wait to hand it back. The engine was so noisey and the interior was not great either. The build was flimsy too. I so wanted it to grab me like when i first drove my MK6 GTI but it didn't.
Mk7 GTI, Pure White, 5 Door, Manual, ACC - Collected and enjoying it.

320d - undoubtedly a great car to drive and the blue colour is lovely but they are just everywhere from rep mobiles to unimaginative office girls (are the imaginative ones all in Golfs though?). Interiors are a bit uninspiring too.

GTD - I'm obviously biased but they are just better. Zero ostentatiousness - is that a word? - and less common too. The thinking mans (or womans) choice.

I was desperate to get my company car sorted as I hand back my old one in July and I looked at loads of options including the 320d M Sport. I have to say it was boring. Same old BMW inside and out. I never really rated Golf's either, but I think that was due to my MK4 TDI rep mobile 9 years ago which I hated. It was the MK7 that really got my interest in the Golf, so I decided to stick with my GTD order. (After being able to extend my current lease)

Looking forward to it now!
