Need help finding a part. VW no good.
« on: 17 June 2013, 23:35 »
I need this bracket and my local parts man wont play ball at all. It fits onto the car body up in behind the fuel tank the bigger hole fits to where the brake pipe screws into the flex hoses for movement round the rear beam.  The part number is all messed up with the rust but it looks like 1J0 511 852 not sure if theres a letter after. With the ETKA I have at home its saying no such part. So any help in getting the right part number would be unreal. Thanks for looking.

Said bracket, this is sort of the way it sits

It's possible it's only available with a complete rear axle

Cheers for the replies lads, much appreciated.

@ George  its not part of the rear beam, more to do with the brake pipes.

@ James  Did the pencil but will try the charcoal today, cheers

@ Mcgee  Keep me posted.
