you TR boys don't take the hump with me but it looks horrendous on the mk7. White is so much better due to the fact it shows all the lines and contours way better. Black isn't any better either. the red seems flat in comparison to even the carbon grey. is an individual choice though but it never crossed my mind to even consider red or black.

No humpiness here, each to their own!

I agree that the red imo is not great on the GTI however with the santiagos that Mark has ordered I think it will transform its look a mean looking beast

I like the white and CSG and even the blue, but honestly the TR looks way better than any standard Golf even if its not my fav colour.  No colour looks bad really.

I don't understand the hatred towards Tornado Red. It's the original, classic GTI colour and if you look after it well then it looks incredible. The lines are still visible and the combination of red and black is great, especially with the Panaromic roof, really sets it off.

White is bland, boring and common in my opinion and shows up every single mark.

There's no way that Tornado Red is "Horrendous" that's a ludicrous statement.

But yes, as has been said. Each to their own.

So funny how people argue or even try to put across their point across when it comes to picking a color. Pick what YOU like and f*ck what everyone else thinks.....Done !!!

Yes I agree... "Horrendous" is maybe a little strong... "Hideous" would be a better description  (I'm only pulling your leg btw).

There's nothing wrong with Tornado Red. Although I personally wouldn't pick it myself, I don't actually think it looks as bad as some make it out to be.  My wife loves the look of the Tornado Red in fact and was trying to get me to change... But Hey what do girls know??? If I left it up to her we would have ended up with a VW Beetle Convertible....

I can guarantee that in 6 months time when I see another one in black, red, carbon grey, whatever it may be, i'll be thinking that I should have went for that instead. Mind you, I'll be hoping that the person in the GTI coming towards me is thinking exactly the same thing

I think quite a few of us might be like that

That's very true. I think people will always regret their colour choice and wish they had something they don't have. Human nature :)

I never said there was anything wrong with the red and I stand by the horrendous statement which isn't ludicrous at all. I don't like it in red and prefer white which is why I've ordered it. so what if it's the original gti red blah blah blah. I just don't think it suits the shape of this gti very well whereas the white gti I've seen  looks much better.

Ordered Pure White, second choice would have been Tornado Red.

Would not choose any other colour in the GTI.  White or Red, Red or White

Actually having seen the latest gtd review which uses a red car I think a pano roof would break the colour up for me. Still prefer white though

Tornado looks awesome, like others have said it's a 'proper' GTI colour.
