Not something I have ever been keen on TBH, very heavy and unless done to a very high standard can be dangerous.

Personally I'm not keen on them on a MK4, I think they look better in smaller sizes on Mk2/Mk3's. Although it depends entirely on which wheels you use as a base, I saw an R32 with 18" TT spacesaver steels banded the other day and it looked rubbish.

IMO I think they look pump. Only suited to older cars. Suitable perhaps as a winter set of wheels

never been able to decide on them, but as wayne said, unless done properly can be dangerous, so for me ide never buy from another private seller, only a company and a well respected one at that, that way if something goes wrong you may have a leg to stand on and be able to get them to split the cost of repair or something.

They will be winter wheels just cause they are cheap and I can get replaced for a reasonable price that includes them getting banded but was thinking of powder coat white or maybe something different nt sure though ideas guys

If the banding is cheap then I woudl avoid at all costs, it needs to be done to a very high standard plus tested afterwards.

yeah if there cheep they will most likely be made by someone who has a few years welding experience and wownt be stress tested or anything.

proper banded steels cost a fortune for what they are
