8v digifant no power to fuel pump
« on: 16 June 2013, 15:51 »
ok i changed my dizzy on my mk2 1990 digifant pb. its got a mk3 2 ltr bottom end but the top is still mk2 as is the wiring. Ive changed the dizzy. dizzy cap, leads spark plugs. my isv is now not buzzing and my fuel pumps are not priming, i tried bridging the number 32 relay still nothing, I'm getting a good 12v supply to the relay but nothing at the pump terminals.
Any ideas?

You getting anything when you turn the ignition so the second stage? If there is no prime it could be ecu

y mate, im getting dash lights and the car turns over freely enough, I've replaced the ecu along with the starter module thingy on top of the ecu, I've got power to the relay, but when i bridge the terminals on relay 32 the pump still does not prime  :undecided:

think I've sorted it, i've got power now, think the distributors were slightly different, on the inside their were clear differrences, so i'm on the hunt tomorrow for a replacement dizzy. but the way it was the hall sender multi pin that was at fault, ive replaced it now and bingo priming fuel pumps!! still ive been right through the cars electrics safe to say its all good  I'll let you know if she fires up with a new dizzy
