I've a fair amount of experience working on older cars, but I'm fairly new to Golfs, since inheriting my dad's 8 valve Mk2 GTi last year.
Having given the car a good shakedown with new brakes, tyres and plenty of niggly little jobs, most things now work as intended and the car drives very well.
The car is due for a cambelt change, which I will be doing myself. I've seen it mentioned that the tensioners from some suppliers can be noisy, so is there any preferred brand I should be using? Or otherwise any I should avoid.
