Heavy fuel and running crap

Right my 91 8v which has been running terrible lately my fuel consumption is way down and the oil temperature is way up I don't know what I've done, it all started after I cleaned the throttle body and set the timing, does anyone know how any of what I have done could have affected this b

Right I moved my cam back to where it was originally and set the ignition timing and suddenly it's perfect again ?
