Brake switch sensor faulty?
« on: 11 June 2013, 17:35 »
Hi guys I'm new to this forum,

My Golf mk5 recently developed an issue, as I'm driving along and holding the accelerator down, all of a sudden randomly it just cuts the power and pressing the accelerator doesn't do nothing, i have to let go of the gas and tap the brake on the side then get back on the throttle and it works again.

This happens mainly on motorways when I'm driving on 4th or 5th gear, it nearly never happens on city driving although it happened a few times. Its a re-occurring problem too it happens randomly every few minutes or sometimes less..  :undecided:

I think i have a sensor problem which i think is the brake pedal sensor, and was wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance
