Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilover kit is the ultimate set up for the GTi
Easy adjust the Ride height to what you want and with the dial on the bottom with 10 settings from OE feel to really rigid, not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for

Will go low enough so you don't get any arch gap between the top of tyre but you will have to set them on the hardest setting, so not go get any arch contact,
If you want it lower I think they do some ultra lows but that's a different story, playing about with different offsets stretch tyres etc, and it will handle like a bag of sh.t

Is it a staggered set?

If the rears are 9.5 you won't be able to run 225/40s
Need a 225/35 and that still needs some camber and arch mods

I had a set and sold them as it just takes all the fun out a gti running stretch
Not knowing if your going to make it round a bend lol

Good tyres + leightweight wheels = success

But if your wanting lows but not wanting to spend loads
FK highsports and ditch the helper springs gives you good amount of lows

Hope this helps
