Yes. G reg was August 89 to August 90 so from late 89 they could well be 90 spec.

Mine has them. It was registered on 2nd Jan 1990. From memory, 90 spec cars were introduced in August 1989. There were still unsold small bumper cars around, so there was an overlap period where both were registered.

The quick way to tell a genuine big bumper car is if it has the hazard light switch on top of the steering column.

This is about it...
My SB 16v was registered in late Dec 89! I also think I'm right in saying, that SB cars that were still hanging round, had to be "Pre registered" before 1990, so in theory it was still possible to buy a brand new SB car in 90 and beyond, but it had already been registered... these cars were probably heavily discounted to get shot of them... strange really because the SB car is far better in every way!

As ever, this is just a guideline.
My car was registered in March '89 and is a genuine Big Bumper as standard from factory (mind you its an oddity as its also Bright Blue Metallic)

Cheers just found out it was registerd 1/3/1990 so should this have big bumpers??
