Best place to buy rims and tyres.
« on: 05 June 2013, 21:37 »
Would prefer to support a forum supporter if possible. I'm new here and love this place! Is there a retailer I should look at?

Looking for something to match my Carbon Grey 5 door. Found an american forum with hundreds of posts with people with black or grey rims but can't find it now!

I would say there is no one best place to buy, find a tyre place that treats your wheels with respect, may not be the cheapest place to buy the tyres but, if you factor in the hassle and cost of a refurb, its worth it.
I use Just Tyres and have for years, they are competitive for tyres and the local guys are helpful.

There's a huge choice of places to buy wheels, I got a set of genuine BBS CH wheels off eBay for a good price and I think they look good:

I would like a set of BBS LMs, but they are mega expensive.

What size are they as they look smaller than the oem Monza's?

I want some rims too, my monzas are heavily kerbed due to previous owner. I thought there would be a forum supporter who sold packages rather than just buying from eBay

They are 18" x 8", the photo was taken when the car was only a couple of weeks old so hadn't settled, the arch gap is much less now.

camskill can't be beaten for tyres, and I like to browse the pages of bm autosport for the rims.

You can't go wrong with bbs alloys and if you want a refurb on your existing monza's try rim tech in Milton Keynes I think they do them for around £60 a corner and that is for a diamond cut finish
