If not then I hate it.

I have ordered in solid black but not seem many photos of it and not many here are talking about it. I haven't seen it in real and now worried I will regret it.

Has anyone got their mk7 GTI in solid black yet? What are your thoughts on the colour?

My dad is regretting his DBP choice (of picking up an order change mistake early as opposed to picking up the reorder in October) - it's twitful to keep clean. When it is immaculate it looks amazing, when it is not immaculate it doesn't look half as good. I would say the gloss black will be even worse for this as it doesn't have sparkly bits to break up teh very glossy surface. Have a Black or Carbon Grey or Night blue Golf and be prepared to wash it a lot!

I've had my CSG for a couple of weeks now. It's been raining, driven it quite a bit, spent 3 days in an airport open car park and I haven't had  a chance to wash it. Still looks very smart. I don't think it will that bad to keep loooking good.

Post a quick, dirty pic to show us :grin: I'm still wrestling with the idea of changing from PW to CG.

I find my CSG mk6 soooooo much easier to keep looking good than my previous mk4 and mk5 Golfs, both of which were Deep Black Pearlescent. In my experience, CSG doesn't show the dirt nearly as much as DBP.

I've never regretted getting CSG, and it would be one of the 2 colours I would have on my shortlist I if I was considering ordering a mk7 GTI or GTD (other choice would be Pure White).
2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

So how close is CSG to the old Atlas Grey of the Mk2?
Looks fairly close to me. Reason I ask it that I like the look of CSG in pictures, but never liked my Atlas Grey...

Tornado Red GTI 3dr manual

Previous Golfs Mk1 GLS and GL, Mk2 GL and Driver, Mk3 GL, Mk4 GT TDI, Mk6 TDI (and a Mk2 Scirocco 20 years ago)
