That looks like reflex silver to me,  can anyone confirm?

Thought tungsten was a bit more dull.

According to the owner it's Tungsten.

Has anyone actually seen Tungsten in the flesh? I'm curious to know if it's got a gold / beige sheen to it or if it's a pure silver, although slightly darker than Reflex.

Wouldn't order any colour without seeing it first hand, but just interested...

Have you ever had a really deep stone chip that's taken the bodywork back to the cathodic coating? It's like that kind of creamy/putty colour, but with a metallic sheen. Not for me!
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Thanks Bill / Monkeyhanger - sounds like the beige / gold fleck I was fearing

Looks like it's CSG for me then!

Does anyone know if you can order a non UK colour? I love that blue that was at the Paris motor show; you can spec it in Germany but could you do it for a UK order?

Audi do it for UK orders (at quite a price) but VW don't seem to. Look on VW's germany website to see the range of colours you can choose from for a whopping 1800 Euros if you are a German customer. You never know, it may be one of those things that is possible if the dealer looks far enough into it (doubtful though).

Yeah I looked on the German Configurator - their colours are so much better

They make the Golf bodyshell at Wolsburg, apply all the protective coatings and then ship it to the plant that routinely uses the colour you want. The car and all colour coded components are painted there and it is shipped back to Wolfsburg for final assembly. That process of inserting a "foreign" car into their paintshop schedule and the shipping each way to Wolfsburg obviously costs VW a good few hundred quid, hence they charge 1800 Euros for it!

I have ordered in solid black but not seem many photos of it and not many here are talking about it. I haven't seen it in real and now worried I will regret it.

Has anyone got their mk7 GTI in solid black yet? What are your thoughts on the colour?

And although he's spitting on the dashboard it's a decent video to see the colour:
