ko3s turbo to ko4
« on: 05 June 2013, 18:21 »
Hi ive got a mk2 golf with a 20v turbo, which has a ko3s on it at the moment. was wondering what would I need to change it to a ko4? Would I need a manifold? or any other adapters.

Thank. Alex

I convertef my my mk2 to a 20v turbo and wos going to do this but couldnt be doing with throwing another bag of sand at the car ... Of top of my head ko4 turbo, injectors oil and water lines, manifold , you will also need new engine mounts as you will have to bring engine slightly foward oh and a remap thats of top of my head

Never heard anyone talk of changing out the mounts to run k04 on a 2 before, can you explain more on that mate?  Plenty of guys running BAMs which are k04 factory.

As for install you will also need a new downpipe, 3" MAF is a nice touch to include but not necessary and new TIP.  Injectors will depend on the engine your starting with as AGU are different fit to later engine models.  What engine code and what management?
