Idle issues
« on: 05 June 2013, 02:20 »
So after rebuilding my throttle body and inlet manifold I have an idle problem, when I start my car my revs go up and down for a bit before settling. I've got a video here http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=plcp&v=_99lNo5pM-I does anyone know why this has happened, there's also a strange noise accelerating at low revs. Thanks

Checking the wiring on the micro switch, air leaks and have you cleaned the ISCV?

I've done all the usuall checks I have no air leaks My Wireing is good because I've actually had to replace that before and I've soaked the isv in petrol and tried a spare I have. I have a feeling I may have moved the dizzy after having to hammer a clip out of it because I've moved it back a fraction and the car feels normal again but still a little iffy on the idle.

Turns out my ignition timing was out but it's sorted now but my camshaft was also a notch out so why was the car running so well
