Another video, quite a bit easier to hear. It's the noise after the initial rev. Like a rattle of sorts!!

yeah that sounds rattly oh right.....

Does it sound like its from underneath the car rather than the engine its self, hard to tell on the video

If so, sounds like it could be a couple of things:

you cat my have crumbled a few bits off, and they are stuck in the cat pipe.

your Turbo / downpipe bolts my be lose causing it to rattle

Best thing to do it jack it up and have listen where is comes from....

I need a better phone as it still sounds like a fluttering dump valve to me making the turbo make that noise.

Took it for a quick evaluation at my local dealer today. Both agreed it sounded like it was something along those lines.
Got it booked in for a diagnostic check in a couple weeks once I'm back from holidays. Getting cruise installed too.
Hopefully nothing too drastic. Car still drives perfectly otherwise which is weird..

The dv is easy to check if you can get under the car its only held on with 3 bolts. Do a search on here it will show the location and what to check.

Make sure you use Axle stands as well .

It can be a fiddly job from underneath the car when you're lying down just for 3 bolts.

I have also read you can access the valve by taking the front offside wheel off and removing the arch liner which doesn't take too long. That way you shouldn't have to get under the car.

Have it at a specialist at the moment. No fault codes, claims it could be my Dual Mass Fly Wheel
