This is great info!.. i had a quick read of the old lense guide that Dubfan posted and am now wondering what older lenses work best with an adapter for the EF mount, any ideas?
You can get anything in M42 mount (which is just a screw thread) and then attach it using an M42 to Canon EF adaptor.
The adaptors are just a ring of metal really.
They come in three flavours: 1) plain metal, 2) metal with focus confirmation chip and 3) with a small piece of glass in to give you infinity focus (although I can't seem to find any of these for Canon on ebay).
